This document sets forth the Kioritz policy on protecting personal privacy, as well as specific methods of handling personal information based on that policy.

The Kioritz privacy policy
Kioritz Corporation (“the Company”) is aware of the importance of protecting personal information in the world of advanced telecommunications we live in, and strives to uphold privacy in accordance with the policy set forth herein.
1. Acquisition of personal information
The Company acquires personal information by fair and legitimate means.
2. Use of personal information
- The Company shall use personal information only to the extent necessary to perform its businesses, and within the scope of the purposes of use declared upon acquisition of the information.
- In the event that the Company uses personal information jointly with a third party or outsources the handling of personal information to a third party, the Company shall first subject such third party to stringent background checks and subsequently supervise such third party in an appropriate manner to ensure maintenance of secrecy.
3. Supply of personal information to third parties
Except where provided under Japanese law, the Company shall not supply personal information to any third party without first obtaining the consent of the individual to whom such information pertains.
4. Administration of personal information
- The Company shall maintain the accuracy of personal information, and administer it in a safe and secure manner.
- The Company shall implement appropriate information security measures to counter unauthorised access and computer viruses in order to prevent loss, destruction, modification or leakage of personal information.
- The Company shall not allow or cause personal information to be leaked by removing information from Company premises or sending such information to outside the Company.
5. Disclosure, amendment, cessation of use, deletion
In the event that an individual, to whom personal information pertains, requests the disclosure, amendment, cessation of use or deletion of such personal information, and such individual is confirmed as having the right to make such request, the Company shall comply with such request without delay.
6. Organisation, framework
The Company shall appoint a Privacy Manager and administer personal information in an appropriate manner.
The Company shall provide training in privacy protection and appropriate administration methods for its employees and officers, and thoroughly ensure appropriate handling of personal information in its daily business.
7. Formulation, implementation, maintenance and improvement of privacy protection programme
The Company shall formulate a privacy protection programme (including, but not limited to, this policy, privacy protection regulations as well as other relevant rules and regulations) in order to execute this policy, ensure full awareness of such programme among Company employees and other relevant parties, and implement, maintain and continually improve it.

Purposes of use of personal information
In the event that the Company obtains personal information, it shall first clearly specify the purposes for which it wishes to use such information, and use such information only to the extent of such stated purposes. In the event that it becomes necessary for the Company to use personal information beyond the scope of such stated purposes, it shall do so after contacting the pertinent individuals and obtaining their consent.
The purposes for which the Company uses personal information it possesses are as follows.
I. Personal information pertaining to customers
(1) To send advertisements regarding products, services and events
(2) To provide product support and maintenance services
(3) To ship products and spare parts
(4) To deal with enquiries and offer advice
(5) To issue warranties and provide warranty services
(6) To develop products and conduct questionnaires
(7) To perform contractual obligations
(8) To engage in business negotiations and meetings with customers
II. Personal information pertaining to shareholders
(1) To exercise rights and perform obligations under the Commercial Law
(2) To provide various shareholder benefits
(3) To carry out shareholder measures (e.g., questionnaires)
(4) To perform shareholder management pursuant to Japanese law
III. Personal information pertaining to employees and officers of other companies including business partners and government officials
(1) To provide notices, submit reports, respond to enquiries and engage in business negotiations necessary for business purposes
(2) To make payments, receive revenue, administer credit and perform other such businesses
IV. Personal information pertaining to job seekers
(1) To provide recruiting and other information and notices to job seekers
(2) To perform recruitment-related operations in-house
Purposes for use of personal information with regards to individual products and services may, in some cases, be notified individually.
Joint use of personal information
The Company may, in some cases, use the personal information obtained, jointly with its affiliates in Japan. The Company shall be responsible for the administration of jointly-used personal information that pertains to individuals residing in Japan.
Supply of personal information
The Company shall not disclose or supply personal information to any third party except in the following circumstances.
(1) The providing party has consented to such supply
(2) Such supply of personal information is permitted under Japanese law
(3) Supply of such information is necessary to protect human life, health or property, and but obtaining the consent of the providing party is difficult
(4) The Company outsources the handling of personal information to the extent necessary to achieve the objectives of use of personal information
(5) Business operations are inherited as a result of corporate merger, division, transfer of operations or other reasons
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Company may supply personal information pertaining to customers (including, but not limited to, names, addresses, telephone numbers and other contact information, as well as products purchased and purchase records) to any of its affiliates in Japan in the form of printed documents or electronic data by appropriate methods that take security into full consideration in the event that the Company deems it appropriate for such affiliate or an agent to respond to an enquiry pertaining to products, repairs or services.
Procedures for requesting disclosure
The Company shall comply with requests to: disclose personal information it possesses; notify the purposes of use of personal information; amend, add or remove personal information; discontinue use of personal information or supply of personal information to a third party.
